To all of our beautiful mothers,
This coming Sunday, May 19, we are inviting all the young girls of the parish to process up to adorn Our Blessed Mother with flowers for our May Crowning. We would love all the young girls of the chapel to participate, if able. Please let us know if you can arrive 10-15 minutes early for Mass to line up with flowers which will be provided [Aprel Bindewald 985-960-6370] to process in before Fr. Haenny. We will have a couple of mothers helping to get your little ones back to you after they walk up, and our older girls will help with the younger girls.
Thank you all for your willingness to participate and honor Our Blessed Mother. God Bless!
We are very appreciative of all the ladies’ hard work in keeping our church clean. Of course, this is not easy with school, kids, activities, and work. The current cleaning pair rotation is on about a 5 to 6-week cycle. As families grow, some ladies have to step away for a time, and this will increase the frequency for others.
We are asking for some additional hands to join the team that keeps our church clean, and we know that it involves sacrifices, so we thank you in advance. Teams typically clean in pairs of two. If you wish to form your own pair, you are more than welcome, but Mrs. Mary Moreau organizes the schedule and can assist. Contact Mrs. Mary directly at 504-432-7911. Thank you again.
What is the Tridentine/Latin Mass?
The Tridentine Mass (Latin: Missa Tridentina) is the form of the Roman Rite Mass contained in the typical editions of the Roman Missal that were published between 1570 and 1962.
Other names for it include Traditional Mass, Traditional Latin Mass, and, in its latest form, Mass according to the 1962 Roman Missal. It is widely referred to as the Latin Mass.
